Apartment Pictures entry for the 2012 Dubai 48 hour film project. Done in only 40 hours!
Due to unfortunate circumstances, this film was handed in late, so was not up for the running, and due to more unfortunate circumstances, the name of the film on the audience award ballot was incorrect, so nobody could even have voted for it.
But given that, the product you’re seeing is in fact produced within only 40 hours end to end. Originally Kirill and Nidal were joining another team, as they were actually on a shoot until midnight. Come 2am most of the other team members decided to back out and not participate, which forced Apartment Pictures to take over and start fresh with less than 40 hours on the clock. The film itself was finished in time, but with many miscommunications, including driving to incorrect map directions, the film was unfairly submitted late.
Being a veteran of 3 prior challenges, luckily Apartment Pictures still appreciates the experience and feels proud of a job well done.
